AIAIAI and Richie Hawtin have teamed up on a new pair of studio headphones called the TMA-2 Studio Wireless+. The new headphones aim to solve the problem of sound quality and latency issues when using older bluetooth headphones in the studio by creating a new protocol that provides lossless sound and near latency-free response.

Richie Hawtin has teamed up with soundscape app Endel, under his Plastikman alias, to create a new AI-driven audio experience to help listeners focus. Endel is designed to promote deeper focus, better sleep, meditation and relaxation, and has previously teamed up with Grimes on ‘AI Lullaby’ for assisted relaxation for adults and children. Hawtin’s collab is called ‘Deeper Focus’ and is “a personalised, real-time adaptive soundscape that is infused with his trademark production, resulting in a spacious, stripped-back soundscape that improves users' focus and productivity.”

PLAYdifferently has announced a four-channel version of their popular analogue DJ mixer MODEL 1. The new four-channel version – MODEL 1.4, which costs £1,999 – features all the same components of the original, with the same analogue overdrive per channel, parametric EQ rather than three-band, analogue filter per channel, dual cue system, three-band master EQ, D-Sub connection round back for analogue connection to soundcards, two phono preamps, two-band booth EQ and master high and low-pass filters.

Richie Hawtin has shared new Plastikman material at Milan Fashion Week.
Hawtin, who delivered a stunning A/V concept at the end of 2019, returned to his Plastikman alias to soundtrack Italian fashion house Prada Women's Spring/Summer 2021 collection on the catwalk.
The new track, titled 'Sin Thetik', is 12 minutes long, and was also shared alongside a 20 minute ambient version.

Spain's 20-hour desert rave, Monegros Desert Festival, has announced its first names ahead of the event's return after a five year hiatus. Richie Hawtin, whose A/V album 'Close Combined' dropped in September, Paul Kalkbrenner and Amelie Lens lead the charge.
Hip hop act Natos & Woar have also been confirmed, with the final line-up set to see more than 50 artists joining for the 45,000 capacity, 20-hour gathering, which will run 12 stages from 1st - 2nd August 2020.
