Premiere: Cosmo & Kramer ‘Last Government’
MYNY, Kalyma and D.Y.A’s Berlin-based Solide label are launching a new V/A EP series this month. The first edition of Solid(e) State will be released on 24th May and features tracks from Rhode & Brown, Shan and Cosmo & Kramer.
The label has, since its inception in 2015, been mainly used as an outlet for its founders’ music. Broadening its scope now, ‘Solid(e) State Vol.1’ swerves from the uplifting melodic house and deep grooves and Rhode & Brown and Cosmo & Kramer to the jolting electro of Rush Hour’s Shan.

It’s no surprise that DJ Bowlcut’s tracks on labels like Honey Badger Records and UNFRAME SEOUL and on popular channels like Definite Party Material and Moskalus have been getting attention from the likes of Josey Rebelle, Moxie and Violet. Shrouded ambient beds pour over rattling breaks like a fog, making for a sound that is at once mesmerizing and club-fit.

Daniel Fisher covers nine different aliases, and even more genres, subgenres (and sub-subgenres) on his latest album for his NYC-based label Allergy Season, 'It Takes A Village: The Sounds Of Physical Therapy'.
From the blustery electro his his most renowned moniker Physical Therapy, by way of trippy hip-hop from Green Buddha and ambient as Car Culture there's a lot of ground covered. "Eclectic" is the most well-worn of words, but Fisher has proven as both producer, DJ and label-runner that he is deserving of the descriptor.

Campaign launched for creation of disco ball emoji
Glitterbox have started a Change.org petition to encourage the creation of a disco ball emoji.
Asking that the emoji be introduced in the next iOS & Android, the beloved house and disco brand has described the disco ball as “a simple, but vital addition to the emoji keyboard”.
DJ EZ to revive techno and house alias, Elvin Zedo
DJ EZ will revive his techno and house alias, Elvin Zedo, originally conceived back in 2004.
The announcement was made by the acclaimed UK garage turntablist via a video posted to Facebook, in which he explained the genres his moniker focuses on have 'always had a special place in my heart'.
"I'm super-excited to let you know about my DJ alias, Elvin Zedo," DJ EZ said. "[It] was created in 2004 as an avenue for me to play house and techno, which were the genres I played at the very start of my DJ career.
