Having deleted his social media accounts and cancelling a performance at Hangout Festival, DJ Snake is back on social media having today posted a picture of himself sat upon a sand dune deep in thought.
Many fans were left worried after his social media accounts dissapeared two weeks ago, leading many to worry about his mental fragility, especially since he missed a show at Hangar Festival.
DJ Snake cancelled his appearance at Hangout Music Festival yesterday (21st May), before deleting both his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
DJ Snake - real name William Sami Etienne Grigahcine - was due to perform on the final night of Hangout, but the festival announced his slot would be filled by Lil Yachty via Twitter ahead of his appearance.
No official confirmation as to why the performance was cancelled, or his social media accounts have been deleted, has yet been given.
DJ Snake and Lil Jon are defendants in a new copyright lawsuit filed in a New York federal court last week (4th May).
The new lawsuit claims the pair’s track, titled ‘Turn Down for What’, violates the copyright of Freddie GZ.
The rapper released his track in March 2013, also called ‘Turn Down for What’, ahead of DJ Snake and Lil Jon’s track, which was released the following December.
Richard Busch, the lawyer that represented Marvin Gaye’s family in the ‘Blurred Lines’ case, brought the lawsuit forth, which seeks monetary damages and a permanent injunction.
DJ Snake and Major Lazer’s hit track ‘Lean On’ hit an unfathomable two billion views on YouTube last month.
The track, taken for Major Lazer’s massive album ‘Peace Is The Mission’, was released in March 2015 — almost exactly two years ago to the day.
‘Lean On’ now joins the ranks for commercial chart-toppers like Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’ and Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson’s ‘Uptown Funk’ as tracks that have hit the two billion mark.

Ushuaïa has announced their latest concept party titled Limited Edition, which is set to welcome top EDM acts including Axwell, Ingrosso, DJ Snake, Hardwell and more through summer 2017.
Kicking off on Wednesdays from 28th June through to 6th September, with a different headliner each week, other confirmed acts include sets from Alesso, Diplo and Major Lazer Soundsystem.

Coachella Festival’s first weekend took place last weekend, running from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th April at Empire Polo Field in Indio, California.
The dance heavy programme saw Martin Garrix, Dillon Francis, Steve Angello, DJ Snake, Porter Robinson & Madeon, DJ Khaled, Marshmello, Galantis, Kaytranada, Tale of Us, Nicolas Jaar, Bonobo and many more all take to the stage at the event.
Coachella has announced the full live stream schedule for its first weekend, which runs from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th April.
DJ Snake, Steve Angello, Galantis, Justice, Bonobo, Kaytranada, Crystal Castles and many more will all feature on Coachella’s extensive coverage.
The festival will be live streaming artists across multiple channels from a number of its stages through the weekend.
Electric Zoo has revealed the first phase of its line-up, for the event that runs from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd September at Randall’s Island Park in New York City.
Deadmau5 & Eric Prydz, DJ Snake and Above & Beyond all headline, and are joined by Sasha & Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Paul Kalkbrenner, Oliver Heldens, Claptone and many more across the weekend.
Electric Zoo is also taking European promoters Elrow and Awakenings back to the festival this year.
