Bitter Devotion

A chirpy, Balearic-crossover on Eskimo, with a Tracey Thorn-style vocal from Fedi and a tempered guitar strum that could have almost been performed by Stephen Stills of Crosby, Stills & Nash. Ewan Pearson appears with vocal and instrumental remixes and crafts a soaring disco version with a melody that doffs its cap to DJ Rolando's 'Knights Of The Jaguar'. DJ Harvey cohort (and one half of Rub 'N' Tug) Thomas Bullock appears under his more abstract production pseudonym, Welcome Stranger; transforming the original into a galloping groove, littered with electronic effects. Ace.
