Electric Elephant has just revealed its headliners for its seventh edition of the festival in Croatia this summer. Techno legend Derrick May and the equally legendary Francois K have just been confirmed as headliners for the event — and you can win tickets to see them both play in the sun this July!
Derrick May is, of course, one of the founding fathers of techno, along with Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson in Detroit. An amazing DJ, everyone should experience one of his DJ sets at some point in their lives.
Infamous eclectic NYC DJ/producer Francois K, meanwhile, will be playing one of his classic wide-ranging sets — a six-hour Beach Bar Balearic session, covering all bases from dub to deep house, jazz to drum & bass and beyond.
Also just added to the bill are Munk from Gomma, Emperor Machine — Andy Meecham from Chicken Lips's new project — and the Soul Jazz Soundsystem. They join Justin Robertson, Norman Jay, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Prosumer, Chez Damier, Horse Meat Disco, Ashley Beedle, Awesome Tapes From Africa and many more.
Electric Elephant is situated in a beautiful setting near Tisno on the Adriatic coast in Croatia. And you could win tickets (worth £120 each), courtesy of DJ Mag, by answering this fairly simple question below:
Q. For which classic techno track is Derrick May best known?
Answers to [email protected] putting Electric Elephant comp in the subject header, and the winner — chosen at random — will win a pair of tickets for the festival. This prize doesn't include flights and accommodation, but travel and living expenses are relatively cheap from anywhere in Europe.
